Stepping into the director's chair for Disney's live-action Snow White remake is Marc Webb, known for the Amazing Spider-Man movies starring Andrew Garfield. Penning the script is Greta Gerwig, who also co-wrote Margot Robbie's upcoming Barbie movie, along with Erin Cressida Wilson, who wrote the Julianne Moore thriller Chloe .
The live-action version of The Promised Neverland will come out on 18 December. Meanwhile, the second season of the anime series will start a couple of weeks later, on 7 January 2021. Members of the movie cast and voice actors from the show got together for a little Q&A and other silly stuff during a livestream event on 5 December.
For this sequel they tone down the comedy a lot and went with a more dramatic approach while maintaining the clichés of the genre.
